You are enough.

“You are enough. Today, tomorrow, and every day thereafter. You are perfectly adequate, without needing to change a single thing about yourself. This doesn’t mean that you aren’t allowed to want to grow, evolve or improve. It doesn’t mean you don’t have flaws. It means you are worthy of love. It means that you deserve to love yourself in spite of your imperfections. No matter who you are, where you’re from, or what you have been through, you are deserving of love. Be kind to yourself. You are only human. Forgive and let live. Let in the love.”

Spread love

“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” - Mother Teresa

Here at Paper Letters of Love, we are constantly approached by people who are in awe of what we do, calling it selfless and thoughtful. These are the sweetest moments, when people recognize the hard work that goes into it. Being appreciated is one of the most wonderful feelings. Have you thought about how you can make somebody feel appreciated and loved? Have you thought about how you can make a stranger feel appreciated and loved?

How do you feel when a stranger walks by and smiles at you, or says Good Morning? It is unlikely you would feel unhappy about this, and all they did was smile or say a few words!
How do you feel when you check your mail for the day, and amongst the bills there is a package from a friend, or a postcard from overseas? Have you ever received something anonymously?

There are so many things that everybody can do to brighten somebody elses day, and some things take little time and effort.

I have recently moved into a new apartment within a complex, and while scary at first, I now say "hello!" to the neighbours I see often.
One evening, I was lucky enough to run into one of my neighbours who has the cutest little puppy (who almost licked my hand off!). I remembered that I had a book at home that is similar to a baby book, but for puppies, where you can track its growth and it also has a lot of information about stages of life and training and such. As I don't have a dog, I wrapped it up and placed it on her doorstep. She came to my door the next day over the moon that someone could think of something like that, and gave me chocolated. Hooray! Chocolate!
That took no effort, really, on my part, and it has made her so very happy. Now, my next step is to ask to play with her puppy someday :D

I have also recently moved into a new building for work, and again, I say hello to office staff I see regularly.
They may not be on my floor, and I don't need to have a whole conversation with them, but just saying "Hi! How are you today? It's so cold out!" can really brighten someones day.

I don't think it is possible to ever understand what other people are going through, particularly if they are a stranger. So why not just say hello, or give them something that will be treasured. It really can change their day around. And who wouldn't want that?
